For the past decades it was common practice to match the colour of the tile grout to the colour of the tiles. White tiles, white grout, black tiles, black grout.
So when I first saw a photo of Lotta Agaton some years ago showing white tiles with dark grout I couldn't believe my eyes and actually thought it was old fashioned. But the best ideas actually need time to grow on you to make a lasting impression. I should have known Lotta Agaton knows best. And making a grid on your kitchen or bathroom is now perfectly fine. For the trendsetters among us, of course. Most constructors will probably still check your choice twice for some time...

De laatste decennia was het normaal om tegel en voegkleur op elkaar af te stemmen: witte tegel - witte voegen, zwarte tegel - zwarte voegen.
Toen ik een paar jaar geleden voor het eerst een foto zag van Lotta Agaton van een wand met witte tegels met donkere voegen vond ik dat dus echt niet mooi. Maar sommige ideeën hebben tijd nodig om aan te wennen en als Lotta Agaton ermee komt, dan moet het wel aanslaan.
Zo'n 'rooster' maken op je keuken- of badkamermuur is dus weer helemaal prima. Dat wil zeggen als je een trendsetter bent. De meeste tegelzetters zullen je nog wel twéé keer vragen of je het zeker weet...
